Welcome to Make Up Swap PH! Your online community for beauty product swaps. Before you proceed, it is important that you bear in mind our basic site rules:
1. MAKE UP SWAP PH WILL NOT ADVERTISE FOR ANY MEMBERS
- We will not endorse a member's store/blog/site. We will not ask anything from our members so we will not advertise on your behalf. We cannot accept personal requests/favors/conditions from any of our members to avoid biases and to keep the main interest of the site, which is product swapping. A member who will violate this rule for once will receive one negative karma.
2. MAKE UP SWAP PH STRICTLY PROHIBITS SELLING
- This site is mainly for swapping only. We will not tolerate any members who post selling advertisements. Posts or replies containing contents for selling will be deleted. Any member who will post any topic containing selling advertisements for five (5) times will receive three (3) negative karmas.
3. MINIMIZE THE USE OF UPPER BOX LETTERS (CAPS LOCK)
- We do tolerate the use of upper box letters but please, keep it to a minimum. It is okay if you want to use it to stress a word or to highlight your post. But keep the rest of your post in the formal composition. The posts that will violate this rule will be deleted without prior notice. A member who will violate this rule for five (5) times will receive one (1) negative karma.
4. MAKE UP SWAP WILL NOT TOLERATE SPAMMING
- Posting of your threads with the same topic for more than once is considered spamming. Multiple threads containing the same topic will be deleted. We do check the contents so even if you change the post title, but still it contains the same post, that post will still be subject for deletion without prior notice. Please do back read to prevent posting a repeat of a topic/reply. A member who will violate this rule for three (3) times will receive one negative karma.
5. THE MEMBERS ARE ALLOWED TO POST A MAXIMUM OF THREE TOPICS PER SECTION
- If you have multiple items for sale and would want the other members to see them in any section that they go to, feel free to post in any boards in make up swap. But if your post exceeds more than thrice per section, the certain post for that section will be deleted without prior notice. A member who will violate this rule for three (3) times will receive one negative karma.
6. SWAP AT YOUR OWN RISK
- We do know that there are a lot of scammers and "swaplifters" in the world of online trading so we highly suggest that you do background checks before considering swapping with a fellow member. Make Up Swap PH will not be held liable for lost items or sham deals.
7. WE DO NOT ENCOURAGE MONEY SWAPS
- Some people may offer money in exchange for an item. This is clearly an act of SELLING. Any post containing this subject will be subject for deletion without prior notice. Some members might try doing this through Personal Messaging. That is out of our control since we do not go into our members inboxes, because we respect your privacy. The best we could suggest is, DO NOT DO SWAPS FOR MONEY. A member who will violate this rule for three (3) times will receive one (1) negative karma.
8. MAKE UP SWAP WILL NOT SHOW ANY OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
- The moderators will NOT divulge any of your personal information. If others have used your personal information for their own benefit, this may be a result of account hacking. So make sure you log out your account when using a public computer. But we assure you, this act will not come from any of the moderators
9. MAKE UP SWAP WILL NOT TOLERATE CROSS- POSTING
- There are specific sections for specific threads and topics. If you post a foundation item in a lipstick board, that is clearly spamming. Cross posts will be subject for deletion without prior notice. A member who will violate this rule for three (3) times will receive one negative karma.
10. DO NOT POST YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION ON THE TITLES AND CONTENTS
- Your personal information should be kept private at all times to prevent swaplifters or scammers from using your personal information for their own benefit. Posts containing any personal information will be deleted. A member who will violate this rule for three (3) times equals one negative karma.
11. WE DO NOT CATER TO OTHER ITEMS FOR SWAPPING
- Items such as gadgets, clothes, pets or other stuff that will be posted for swapping are not allowed in the forum. Posts containing non- beauty items will be deleted. We allow your wish list to contain other items apart from cosmetics and beauty products because these are personal preferences. A member who will violate this rule for five (3) times equals one negative karma.
